Overnight Praline French Toast
I work hard on my holiday baking and cooking. And I'm sure you do, too. With all the hustle and bustle and extra-goings-on of the holiday season, I don't have time for my creations to get messed up. I've got to get them right the first time!
Well, unfortunately, I didn't get one of my creations right the first time this holiday season. Nope. I had a total flop. I was attempting to make Pecan Pie Muffins. And utterly failed.
You know how you can just tell something's going to be good from the batter?
I am not really a breakfast food person. Instead, I have always been a dinner for breakfast person. Pizza, roast, tacos, etc. Those are my kind of breakfast. For today’s breakfast, I happily devoured yesterdays Cheddar Bacon Ranch Potato Chicken Chowder. But on some occasions, I am a dessert for breakfast person. And thankfully, we have one such occasion speedily approaching.
hank you Valentines Day! Thank you for being a holiday even if for no other reason than to eat dessert for breakfast and call it “special occasion breakfast.” Totally acceptable. Totally out of this world delicious. Honestly, this Pecan Praline French Toast is right up there with my Overnight Creme Brulee French Toast, and I might even give it an edge, because, as you might have noticed, I love pecans. Toffee Pecan Caramel Pound Cake, Maple Dijon Green Beans with Caramelized Pecans, Bacon and Feta, Triple Chocolate Turtle Cookies, and on and on and on…and I especially love pecan praline. Don’t even give me a bite of pecan praline ice cream and expect me to eat just one bowl.
